What is a Self-Managed (Unmanaged) VPS Service?

A Self-Managed or Unmanaged VPS is a hosting service where the customer has full control over the server, along with full responsibility for its setup and maintenance.

With this service model, Host4Fun provides only infrastructure-level support, while all server administration tasks are handled by you.

What You Are Responsible For

As a self-managed VPS user, you are expected to handle:

• Server setup and configuration
• Operating system management and updates
• Software installation and troubleshooting
• Security hardening and monitoring
• Backup configuration and management
• Custom networking and firewall setup
• Performance tuning within the VPS

This option is best suited for users with system administration experience or those who require full control over their server environment.

We take care of the underlying infrastructure to ensure your VPS runs smoothly, including:

• Physical server (node) hardware maintenance
• Network connectivity and uptime
• Node-level performance and stability
